I was an enthusiastic 23-year-old Arizona State University graduate with 4 pre-K classes (80 students combined), ready to take my students on a reading adventure they would remember forever! We would take on their future one letter at a time. I knew that the ability to read affects EVERY area of life and it was my honor and mission to help open that door for young people. My college studies prepared me to teach reading according to common use order versus alphabetical order since it was a more logical and effective method. Yet, I could not find this type of reading program anywhere. So like any young, bright-eyed, ambitious new teacher, I decided to solve my problem and create one. Four kids, 20 years later, and a whole lot of life in between, AlphaBeginnings Books is finally ready to see the full light of day. 

I understand first-hand the emotional struggle that comes with helping a child learn how to read as well as the pressures that come from high expectations. My experience of that emotional rollercoaster is how this program came to be and why I hope to help learners and educators who may be going through similar experiences.

AlphaBeginnings Books was founded with a vision to make reading accessible and enjoyable for children everywhere. I understand that the journey of learning to read is vital, and we are dedicated to providing resources that foster that journey in a warm and welcoming environment.
